Summary#8 Blood System

This week I´m learning about the blood system. The blood is a mixture of liquid and cells.The blood has a pale-yellow liquid called plasma and is mostly water and contains nutrients. This nutrients include dissolved sugars, proteins, and gases.In the blood there exist three cells that are:

-Red blood cell: Are shaped like a doughnut without the hole and they contain the chemical hemoglobin wich carries oxygen around the body.
-White blood cell: They fight with the different diseases in the body when we are sick.
-Platelets:When we have a cut, platelets help stop the bleeding by forming clots.
I learn that the function of the circulatory system is to carry water and nutrients to the body. Also, I learn

that the organ of the circulatory system that pumps blood to the body is the heart. The three kinds of blood vessels that travels through the blood are the:

-arteries

-veins

-capillaries

Summary#7 How Ecosystems Change

Ecosystems can change over time. If given a chance, nature has a way of changing an ecosystem or producing a new one. For example: Farmland to Forest
- Abandoned Farm-First Year: A community of crabgrass, insects, and mice invades the field and crop, corn grew.
-Second and Third Years: Tall weeds, asters, ragwood, tall grasses grow among the crabgrass. Rabbits and seed-eating birds move in.
-Four to Six Later: Pine trees begin to grow and shade the weeds, wich begin to die out.More birds join the community and small mammals like skunks, and opposums.
-Twenty-Five years later: Seeds of decidious trees such as maple, hickory,and oak sprout and take root. Larger animals like raccons, and foxes begin to visit.
-One hundred Years later: The forest is mostly decidious forest trees. Deers, raccoons, and foxes also live in the forest.
Also, I learn that exist pioneer species that is the first species living in the area also the pione
er community that is the first community in an area. I learn also  that a climax community is the final stage of succesion in an area. Also,that the gradual replacement of one community by another.

In what biome I would like to live?

I would like to live in the decidious forest because it has different seasons that are:
-decidious forest in autumn

-decidious forest in spring

-decidious forest in winter

The most recognized is decidious forest in autumn. Other reason is because in autumn I would like to see the leaves falling down, in spring see the flowers and trees sprouting, in winter play with the snow. Also, because I can see different animals that I never see on my life. Also, because I can experiment other climate and other beautiful biome.

Summary#6 World Biomes

The World Biomes is divided in two parts that are: land and water biomes.The Land biome is divided in six that are: tropical rain forest, decidious forest, taiga, tundra, grassland, and deserts. Example:Sahara Desert. Next, we go to the water biome that is divided in two: fresh water and salty water.The fresh water is divided in three categories that are: Plankton, Nekton, Benthos.
Plankton: organisms that float on the water.
Nekton: are organisms swim through the water.
Benthos: are bottom-dwelling organisms
The salty water is divided in two parts the internal and open ocean. The upper region is from 0 to 200 depth.The down is from 1000 to 2000 or more depth.
